What is Personal Development?
Personality type is a good start, but what happens after that? Discovering more of who you are is the next adventure.
For a moment imagine looking in a mirror. Do you see just a face? Do you see all your good points and none of the ‘not so good’ parts of you? Do you see all the parts of you you don’t like and none of the good? Or do you see all the different aspects of yourself?
Imagine knowing how to be with all the parts of yourself, and allowing the highest ‘quality’ parts to flourish. Like getting to a place where the loving part is so fully present in yourself that it overflows to more people in your life. Wouldn’t that really feel connecting. Is it possible to feel lovingly connected with more people in your life? Yes, and when it does life becomes amazing.
The easiest place to start is talking with someone who is like the mirror, and finding out what you are really like. Then things just flow from there.
How does Personal Development work?
This work starts with you being curious with what’s really happening within you and your life. It is so much easier doing this with someone who does more than listen, but asks sensitive, insightful questions. Many times in everyday conversations people can be quite critical and even harsh. The hallmark of these sessions is not like that, but totally on your side.
Being a ‘safe companion’ as you look into areas of the self and help you know what to do with what you find. As they say, knowledge is power, and we actively help you use this knowledge to create the life you would like to experience, inside and out.
What’s a Personal Development session like?
Long ago some personal development was seen as hard work. Our sessions are nothing like that. We follow the flow of joy. Research consistently shows that when people enjoy themselves learning happens fast. This doesn’t mean feelings like uncertainty don’t come up, it sometimes does and is normal. Who wouldn’t feel a bit uncertain when exploring something quite ‘new’.

This is just a note to express my thanks. I had always been very sceptical about whether counselling would work for me – but I knew I needed it at the time.
