What is Holistic Sport Psychology?
We all know exercise and diet are important. What if the goal was not to achieve a certain body type doing a certain activity to reach a certain goal. What if each time you exercise and ate a meal, you did this from joy? The fun of it then becomes so fulfilling that you feel whole and happy, and the striving for that goal stops?
And the added bonus is that the body looks and moves fantastically. People begin to say, “wow you look wonderful, what’s the secret?”
Call it holistic sport, holistic exercise, holistic diet, doesn’t really matter. The main thing is you feel and look great. And living this way is effortless. Gym workouts that feel like the grindstone, are over. Exercise links us to how we were as a child with abundant energy and fun in how we moved.
Even eating food that’s ‘good for us’ is not a struggle, but a celebration. Weight loss just happens. Remember tasting a strawberry for the first time. Struggle no, pleasure yes!
How does Holistic Sport Psychology work?
You describe what exercise, eating and drinking is like for you at present. In no way is how you do things made wrong. We fully acknowledge that this is how it is now, and when you feel ready movement happens towards doing things differently. This is pretty much inevitable, when we meet things we want with a little willingness. But yes, this process has its ups and downs, we know this, but at each point new things are learned and integrated.
You end up, how we all started in life, full of energy and enjoying eating, drinking and moving in alignment with our healthiest self.
What’s a Holistic Sport Psychology session like?
It’s like being with an expert, comprehensive support team that works for you to acknowledge and release what is not serving you and discovering things that do serve you. You are the one that decides this, and if you are not sure, you learn how to ask your body, because your body very quickly will say what feels good and what doesn’t.
Learning to listen and trust the body is one key in this adventure. You learn skills for life, and also the motivation to expand your healthiest self.

If someone asked me to describe Daniel in 3 words I would have to say Master, Mentor and Friend, but I’d want to expand on them. Like everyone in Team-Lewis Daniel is always pushing the boundaries in terms of knowledge and application. It is not only amazing to learn and experience what he brings to me, but his mentoring skills are second to none. He has opened me up to endless possibilities and shared experiences which have been invaluable and allowed me to understand myself better, both as a person and as an athlete. It is great to work with someone who had performed as an athlete at the highest level and who know can impart what he has gone through onto me before I have to deal with it myself. But perhaps the coolest thing is that Daniel is a great friend. It allows for seamless movement between issues relating to training, life and love and intertwining of the three into any aspect that requires it. For sure, Daniel is amazing!
